Michelle Chubenko is a professional genealogist and has 17 years experience in researching families in New Jersey, Maryland, southwest Virginia, and Oklahoma/Indian Territory. She performs research utilizing statewide sources at the NJ State Archives and other local repositories for Northern & Central Jersey (Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, Passaic, Somerset, and Union Counties). Her most recent projects include urban research in 19th & 20th Century New Jersey.

She serves as a Trustee of The Genealogical Society of New Jersey. She is also a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists - New York Metro Chapter, National Genealogical Society, the Genealogical Speakers Guild, other local and ethnic genealogical societies and active in local history organizations.
